প্রথম ইনিংসের মতো দ্বিতীয় ইনিংসেও বল হাতে কাণ্ডারির ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন রবিচন্দ্রন অশ্বিন। তাতে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজের কুপোকাত দশা হয়েছে। অশ্বিনের বোলিং ঘূর্ণিতে প্রথম টেস্টে উইন্ডিজের বিপক্ষে ইনিংস ব্যবধানে ও ১৪১ রানের জয় পেয়েছে ভারত।
শুক্রবার (১৪ জুলাই) রাত ৮টায় ডমিনিকা টেস্টের তৃতীয় দিনের খেলায় মুখোমুখি হয় ভারত ও ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ। এ দিন ৪২১ রানে ভারত তাদের প্রথম ইনিংস ঘোষণা করে। ব্যাটিংয়ে নেমে ১৩০ রান তুলতেই শেষ হয় উইন্ডিজের দ্বিতীয় ইনিংস। প্রথম ইনিংসে দলটি করেছিল ১৫০ রান। তাতে ভারত ইনিংস ব্যবধানে জয় তুলে নেয়।
দুই ইনিংস মিলিয়ে বল হাতে ১২ উইকেট তুলে নিয়েছেন অশ্বিন। ফলে তিনি একাই ম্যাচটিতে ব্যবধান তৈরি করে দিয়েছেন। প্রথম ইনিংসে ৫ ও দ্বিতীয় ইনিংসে ৭ উইকেট দখল করেছেন এই স্পিনার। আর দলের জয়ের কাজটি ব্যাট হাতে আরও সহজ করে দিয়েছেন যশস্বী জয়সওয়াল। অভিষেক ম্যাচেই ভারতীয় এই ক্রিকেটার ১৭১ রানের অনবদ্য এক ইনিংস উপহার দিয়েছেন।
জয়সওয়াল বাদেও সেঞ্চুরির দেখা পেয়েছেন অধিনায়ক রোহিত শর্মা (১০৩ রান)। এছাড়া ব্যাট হাতে ৭৬ রান করেছেন বিরাট কোহলি। সব মিলিয়ে ভারত তাদের প্রথম ইনিংসে ৫ উইকেটের বিনিময়ে ৪২১ রান করে। এর আগে ক্যারিবিয়ানদের প্রথম ইনিংসে মাত্র ১৫০ রানে গুঁড়িয়ে দেয় অশ্বিন-জাদেজারা। তাতে ক্রেইগ ব্র্যাথওয়েটদের সামনে ২৭১ রানের লিড দাঁড়ায়।
তবে দ্বিতীয় ইনিংসে ব্যাটিংয়ে নেমে নিয়মিত বিরতিতে উইকেট হারাতে থাকে উইন্ডিজ। ফলে ভারতের দেয়া লিড টপকানোর বদলে উল্টো ইনিংস ব্যবধানে হারের মুখ দেখতে হয়। দলটি দ্বিতীয়বার ব্যাটে নেমে প্রথম ইনিংসের রানও স্কোরবোর্ডে তুলতে পারেনি। ১৩০ রান তুলতেই সব উইকেট হারায় ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ। ভারতের হয়ে একে একে ৭টি উইকেট তুলে নেন অশ্বিন।
এছাড়া প্রথম ইনিংসে ৩ উইকেট নেয়া রবীন্দ্র জাদেজা দ্বিতীয় ইনিংসে নিয়েছেন ২ উইকেট। ডমিনিকা টেস্টে এই দুই স্পিনারের ভেলকিতে জয় তুলে নেয় ভারত। অভিষেক ম্যাচে ১৭১ রান করে ম্যাচসেরা হয়েছেন জয়সওয়াল। ভারত-ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজের দ্বিতীয় ও শেষ টেস্ট ম্যাচটি হবে আগামী ২০ জুলাই।
