ঈদের দিন প্রতি কেজি কাঁচামরিচ ৭০০ টাকায় বিক্রি হয়েছে ঝালকাঠির বাজারে; যা একদিন আগেও ৩-৪শ টাকা ছিল।
সরেজমিনে বৃহস্পতিবার (২৯ জুন) ঝালকাঠির বাজারগুলো ঘুরে এ চিত্র দেখা যায়। ব্যবসায়ীদের মতে, ঈদের বাজারে পাইকারি ক্রয়মূল্য বেশি পড়ায় খুচরা বাজারে দাম বেড়ে গেছে। তবে ক্রেতারা বলছেন, ঈদকে ঘিরে এটি সিন্ডিকেটের দৌরাত্ম্য।
ক্রেতা রফিক (৪৫) বলেন, রান্নায় কাঁচামরিচ না হলেই নয়; কিন্তু বাজারে এসে না পেরে ৭০ টাকায় ১০০ গ্রাম কিনলাম।
বাহার উদ্দিন (৩৪) বলেন, ঈদকে ঘিরে স্থানীয় সিন্ডিকেটের কারণে এ অবস্থা। ৭০০ টাকা মরিচের কেজি এটা কোনোভাবেই মেনে নেয়া যায় না।
এ ব্যাপারে ঝালকাঠি বড় বাজার কমিটির সহ-সভাপতি মো. কবির হাওলাদার গণমাধ্যমকে বলেন, ঈদের কারণেই পাইকারি বাজার চড়া। ৭০০ টাকা খুচর বেচলেও খুব বেশি লাভ থাকবে না। বরিশাল থেকে সকালে ৫৫০ টাকা পাইকারি কিনতে হয়েছে। মাত্র ২০ কেজি মরিচ আনতে পেরেছি। তার ওপর পরিবহন খরচসহ অন্যান্য খরচ রয়েছে। তবে ঈদের পর এমন দাম আর থাকবে না।
