নেত্রকোনা সদর উপজেলার ১ নম্বর মৌগাতী ইউনিয়নের আসনউড়া বাজারে যাত্রার নামে অশ্লীল নাচ, জুয়া ও মদের আসর বন্ধের দাবিতে মানববন্ধন করেছে এলাকাবাসী। বুধবার দুপুর ১২টায় শহরের মোক্তারপাড়া প্রেসক্লাবের সামনে মানববন্ধনে অংশ নেয় এলাকার শতাধিক মানুষ। পরে বিক্ষুব্ধ এলাকাবাসী বিক্ষোভ মিছিল করে জেলা প্রশাসকরে কার্যালয়ে গিয়ে অভিযোগপত্র জমা দেন।
মানববন্ধনে বক্তব্য রাখেন বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আব্দুল হামিদ, মাওলানা আসাদুর রহমান আকন্দ, মো. নাজমুল আলম খান, গাজী আব্দুর রহিম, মো. আক্কাস মিয়া ও মাওলানা এরশাদ মিয়াসহ অনেকেই।
বক্তারা অভিযোগ করে বলেন, যাত্রাকে কেন্দ্র করে বাজারে জুয়া, মদের আসর বসে। যাত্রার প্যান্ডেলের ভেতরে চলে যাত্রার নামে অশ্লীল নৃত্য। দেশী-বিদেশি মদের আসরে বিভিন্ন এলাকার যুবকরা আসে। আর এই রমরমা ব্যবসায় যুবকদের অগ্রাধিকার দেয়া হয়। এমন অবস্থায় প্যান্ডেলের ভেতরে ২০১৭ সালে টেংগা এলাকার তারা মিয়ার ছেলে খাইরুল ইসলাম নামে এক যুবক খুন হয়েছিল। এরপর দুই-তিন বছর বন্ধ থাকলেও আবারও এসব শুরু হয়। এবারও যাত্রার আয়োজন করে যাচ্ছেন এলাকার কয়েকজন জুয়াড়ি। যাত্রাকে কেন্দ্র করে রমরমা জুয়া ও মদের আসর বসানো মূল উদ্দেশ্য। এতে এলাকায় যুব সমাজের উপর খারাপ প্রভাব পড়ছে। এজন্য যাত্রা ও জুয়া বন্ধে প্রশাসনের নিকট জোর দাবি জানান তারা।
যাত্রা চালানোর আবেদনকারীদের মধ্যে আছেন স্থানীয় ইউপি সদস্য শামছুদ্দিন আহমেদ। তিনি বলেন, আমরা নিয়ম মেনেই আবেদন করেছি। এতে অনেকেই জড়িত আছেন।
সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মাহমুদা আক্তার জানান, মানববন্ধন করে যাত্রা বন্ধে জেলা প্রশাসকের কাছে আবেদন করেছে। এটি ভালো করে যাচাই-বাছাই শেষে জেলা প্রশাসক সিদ্ধান্ত দেবেন।
