সরকারের পদত্যাগের ১ দফা দাবিতে চলমান আন্দোলনে আবারও কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করলো বিএনপি। অষ্টম দফায় আগামী বুধবার (২৯ নভেম্বর) সকাল ৬টা থেকে বৃহস্পতিবার (৩০ নভেম্বর) ভোর ৬টা পর্যন্ত ২৪ ঘণ্টার অবরোধ ও বৃহস্পতিবার ভোর ৬টা থেকে সন্ধ্যা ৬টা পর্যন্ত হরতাল কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা দিয়েছে বিএনপি।
সোমবার (২৭ নভেম্বর) বিএনপির যুগ্ম মহাসচিব রুহুল কবির রিজভী ভার্চুয়াল সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এ ঘোষণা দেন।
রুহুল কবির রিজভী বলেন, সরকারের পদত্যাগ, নির্দলীয় সরকারের অধীনে নির্বাচন এবং দলের মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীরসহ গ্রেপ্তার নেতা-কর্মীদের মুক্তি ও হয়রানি বন্ধের দাবিতে এ কর্মসূচি পালন করা হবে।
উল্লেখ্য, গত ২৮ অক্টোবর ঢাকায় মহাসমাবেশ পণ্ড করে দেওয়ার প্রতিবাদে ২৯ অক্টোবর সারাদেশে সকাল-সন্ধ্যা হরতাল ঘোষণা করে বিএনপি। পরে দলটির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুলসহ শীর্ষ নেতাদের গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। এর প্রতিবাদে ৩১ অক্টোবর থেকে ১৬ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত কয়েক দফায় সড়ক, রেল ও নৌপথ অবরোধ কর্মসূচি দেয় বিএনপি। এরপর ১৯ ও ২০ নভেম্বর ৪৮ ঘণ্টার হরতালের ডাক দেয় বিএনপি। তবে ২১ নভেম্বর বিরতি দিয়ে আবার ২২ ও ২৩ নভেম্বর ৪৮ ঘণ্টার অবরোধ পালন শেষে রোববার ও সোমবার দুইদিনের অবরোধ পালন করছে দলটি।
