মনোনয়নপত্র জমা দেয়ার পর গণমাধ্যমের সাথে কথা বলেন হাতপাখা প্রতীকের মেয়রপ্রার্থী মুফতী সৈয়দ মুহাম্মাদ ফয়জুল করীম।
তিনি লেভেল প্লেয়িং ফিল্ড নিয়ে সাংবাদিকদের প্রশ্নের জবাবে লেভেল প্লেয়িং ফিল্ড স্পষ্ট না বলে উল্লেখ করেন। এছাড়া কোনো কোনো প্রার্থী মার্কা পাওয়ার আগেই লিফলেট ছাপিয়ে বিলি করার অভিযোগও করেন তিনি।

নির্বাচন নিয়ে সঙ্কা আছে কি না এমন প্রশ্নের জবাবে তিনি বলেন, “সঙ্কা আছে। রেজাল্ট পাওয়ার আগ পর্যন্ত সঙ্কামুক্ত নই। তবে নির্বাচনে আমরা ভোটারদেরকে উপস্থিত করার চেষ্টা করবো”।
